Maker Background
Diablo MFG. Co. was an Albuquerque-based silversmith and metal workshop active from the 1950s through the early 1980s, known for producing rodeo, ranch, and western-themed jewelry and award bolos. The firm specialized in sterling and nickel silver conchos, belt buckles, and bolo ties, many featuring brass or gold-filled cowboy figures, steer heads, and rodeo motifs.

These pieces were sold in Southwestern trading posts, saddle shops, and rodeo circuits, and were popular with both Native and non-Native silversmiths of the era.

Construction & Technique

Brass overlay (appliqué) of bronc rider soldered to silver base
